Control over processes in the chain

Our ChainPoint chain information management system lets chain managers take the first steps quickly, as well as actively supporting the development of many aspects of the chain in the longer term.
ChainPoint can be integrated easily into the existing and often heterogeneous IT infrastructure of the chain, can be adapted quickly and easily to the individual (international) communication needs and - thanks to its modular setup - can be extended gradually. This will not merely reduce your risk levels - it will rapidly turn a profit.
A ChainPoint implementation consists of the ChainPoint Core and one or more modules as necessary, depending on the needs and the development phase of the chain collaboration:
ChainPoint Core
The basis, a fixed component of every ChainPoint implementation. Provides CRM functions, such as the registration of companies, peoples, roles and their interrelationships, as well as products, certificates and activities.
Generates advanced web forms and supports workflows, context-dependent questions and automatic processing.
Imports, exports and synchronises data, ensuring that ChainPoint is linked up to other information systems within the chain.
Facilitates spontaneous or automatic communication between chain partners by e-mail, text messages and/or on paper.
Informs selected users when information in ChainPoint meets previously defined criteria.
Is a digital marketplace for trading products or sustainability certificates.
Records the requisite logistical data to create a detailed picture of the goods flow in the chain. Can be applied from just two links up to an entire chain.
Assists the tracing of products, finding causes of product discrepancies, mass balance checks and recall actions.
Analyses and reports about all information in ChainPoint and - where possible and if required - other systems linked to ChainPoint.
Helps collaboration between ChainPoint users with features such as document management, forums and blogs.

Extracting and gathering data from numerous and often very diverse sources is an important requirement for chain management. But simply gathering data is not enough. What does that data actually mean? What can you learn from this data and what conclusions can be drawn from it? Are you even able to see the wood for the trees? Can you spot opportunities that lie hidden in the chain? Translating data into information – information which drives decisions – is what Business Intelligence does. Chainfood provides the system and the expertise to let you improve your operations further.
